About Me

I’m Anita Kaiser.

My journey to teaching yoga began about 7 years ago as I realized the challenging physical and healing benefits of yoga. When I became a mom, I discovered Itsy Bitsy Yoga and began teaching my daughter. Seeing how it helped me connect with my girl and how much fun it was to watch my daughter’s excitement as she learned to work through new challenges, I decided that teaching yoga to kids was what I wanted to pursue. It’s been an amazing experience thus far.

I look forward to many more years of sharing, teaching and learning with children and the wonder and amazement as I get to watch the children grow and change, becoming more confident and sure of their ideas, wants, and abilities. I am excited and honored to be on this path.

I am a certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga Instructor offering the teachings of Helen Garabedian. My training has also included time with Sherry LeBlanc in Toronto from Yoga 4 Kids, as well as with Marsha Wenig from Yoga Kids.

Class Descriptions

Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga®
Ages: Newborn to Nearly Crawling

Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes contain dozens of unique yoga postures designed to support baby’s development. Each class is filled with calming, nurturing ways to enhance bonding and improve baby’s sleep.

During a Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga class, babies enjoy yoga while on their backs, tummies, or held in loving arms. For parents, this class is a special opportunity to meet other moms, get support, and learn about baby’s emerging personality. Most of the yoga we do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for baby, but you will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques as you practice a bit of yoga yourself.

No yoga is experience required. Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga was created by Helen Garabedian, an Infant Developmental Movement Educator, yoga teacher, and mother.

Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga®
Ages: Crawling to 24 Months

Itsy Bitsy Yoga for Tots is a supportive, fun-loving, and active yoga class. As tot’s mobility increases, classes offer tot-centric poses that encourage and support their physical explorations. Tots become more confident in their moving bodies as they practice yoga both in and out of class.

During a Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga class crawlers and walkers playfully practice yoga postures while they are standing, sitting up, walking, and jumping. Parents also get to do a little yoga, but no yoga experience is required.

Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga was created by Helen Garabedian, an Infant Developmental Movement Educator, yoga teacher, and mother.

Yoga for Kids
Ages: 2 Years to Pre-teen

Each class will have a combination of the following components:

Asanas – yoga postures that are a basic element of yoga practice – these postures help build body awareness and increase positive body image. They also help to build fine motor skills, coordination, muscle control, balance and endurance.

Pranayama – breathing exercises – these are help clear the mind and focus ones energy. Breath controls the mind and the emotions leading to reduced stress levels.

Mantras – short phrases or positive affirmations that form the focus for our meditations.

Meditation – a state of lucidness and alertness but a freedom from thinking. The benefits of this help to increase attention span, the ability to sit still, as well as being calm and quiet.

Responsive Singing – This helps to develop rhythm and melody, as well as hand eye coordination, and concentration.

All classes will end with a deep relaxation. This offers the body a chance to absorb all of the benefits of the yoga class. This is a time to let go, heal, rejuvenate and relax.

Some classes will also include a creative movement component.

Thank you for taking the time to not only help us connect with our little ones but, also with ourselves and the other moms. You not only did an exceptional job teaching each week you always added your own touch to our class. Alessandra and I are so blessed to have met you and we look forward to taking more classes with you!!

I’ve got to tell you whatever spirit led me to find your website and brought me to your class I’m truly grateful. I feel like I was really supported and listened to during a time when I thought I might be going mad or that my experience was being blown out of proportion in my head. You made me realize that I had to take care of myself and that that is a worthwhile investment. I never felt judged for anything that I did or said while I was at the studio – what a nurturing, wonderful feeling (and very hard to find anywhere). I think strong and caring women are the greatest assets any woman can have to turn to and be mentored by. Thank you.

I always look forward to your newsletter and I look forward to dropping by for a class real soon. Please keep the wonderful information coming! I love it! Great job!
